Marcus Thuram has had his career-best start to a season under Cristian Chivu at Inter.

As has been revealed by Tuttosport, via FcInterNews, even last year’s start was not as impressive as this time round.

Last season was also the Frenchman’s best start to a campaign, until he broke his record his season.

So far this campaign, Thuram has scored five goals in four games in all competitions.

It is an impressive return to form for a player who looked to be struggling at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and during the Club World Cup.

Thuram opened the season with two goals in the Nerazzurri’s convincing 5-0 victory against Torino in match week one.

The Frenchman played just 67 minutes against the Turin side but was able to get two goals in his hour or so on the pitch.

In Inter’s shock 2-1 loss to Udinese before the international break, Thuram did not score.

However, he did assist Denzel Dumfries’ goal.

Things have got even better for Thuram after the break, scoring once in Inter’s 4-3 Derby d’Italia defeat against Juventus.

Finally, in Wednesday’s Champions League opener against Ajax, the Frenchman scored his brace of headers to take his tally for the season to five.
