Jose Mourinho is expected to shake up a few things at Real Madrid once he is announced as the new manager of Real Madrid.
The former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager likes to have things his own way and is infamous for working with only the players he likes.
Therefore, the future of multiple Real Madrid players could be on the line, especially if they are not on the good side of Mourinho. One of them is Alvaro Carreras.

According to Miguel Serrano (h/t Madrid Zone), Mourinho is not a fan of Carreras at all, which is not a good sign for the Spanish fullback.
Carreras had rejoined Real Madrid last summer in a deal worth €50 million. However, the move did not work out as the left-back simply failed to find consistency.
The La Fabrica failed to offer the quality needed to become Real Madrid’s number one left-back and now finds himself on the bad books of Mourinho.
The Portuguese tactician knows Carreras quite well, having heard feedback from Benfica. He is also not impressed with what Alvaro Arbeloa has told him.

The report adds that Mourinho is not impressed with Carreras at all and therefore, he wants someone else to cover the left-back position.
The former Chelsea manager is ideally looking for someone better than Carreras, which explains why Real Madrid have accelerated their pursuit of Denzel Dumfries.
The Dutchman is expected to join from Inter Milan this summer, serving as the main left-back for the club, though there could be competition from Carreras and Fran Garcia, provided both stay at the club.
