Independiente name Jadson Viera as new head coach | OneFootball

The club announced on Saturday that Uruguayan Jadson Viera has signed to become Independiente’s new head coach. He takes over a side recently eliminated from the Copa Argentina.

Viera replaces Gustavo Quinteros, who was dismissed a few days after the 4-0 loss to Atlético Tucumán in Rosario, which followed two defeats in the Torneo Clausura.

He has previous experience in Argentine football with Talleres de Córdoba from 2019 to 2021 and Vélez from 2022 to 2023, in both cases as Alexander Medina’s assistant.

The former defender, who featured for Lanús, will take charge of the squad next week.

His debut is scheduled for Saturday against Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza.
