Reports had suggested Boca were reactivating negotiations for the forward, who has been linked with the Xeneize in previous windows. Vila reiterated the club’s priority is to keep the player through to the end of the season.

Villa, 26, joined Independiente Rivadavia in 2023 and has impressed in the Primera Nacional. His future remains a recurring topic, but the club are not contemplating a short‑term negotiation.

Boca Juniors continue to assess reinforcements for the next semester, with opportunities in the market being monitored. Any move for Villa appears distant for now, despite lingering talk of a possible return.
