DFB (German Football Federation) confirmed that they didn’t sign a support letter for the re-election of Gianni Infantino as FIFA president. However, according to the Guardian's report, the Swiss already has the support of more than 200 of the 211 FIFA member associations.

In addition, there is still no candidate for the presidential election to be held in Morocco at FIFA’s Congress in March 2027. As a result, Infantino is expected to keep his place for the fourth term. The 57-year-old was first elected to the role in February 2016 after Issa Hayatou served as acting president in the wake of Sepp Blatter’s suspension.

FIFA made several changes to both the men’s international and club World Cups under the guidance of Infantino. In particular, the association faced backlash for incidents during the ongoing World Cup in North America. Nonetheless, Infantino is in no danger of losing his presidency.
