Lamine Yamal’s fitness will be one of the key monitorables as Barcelona gear up for the league clash against Celta Vigo this weekend.
The young Spanish prodigy had picked up a fresh injury earlier in the month, which has put his availability in doubt heading into the Celta clash.
Barcelona are counting on Yamal to recover quickly, as his absence has had a telling impact on the club’s performances.
Earlier this week, reports suggested that Yamal should be able to feature in at least 20-25 minutes of action against Celta Vigo.
However, a fresh report from Catalunya Radio has offered a more grim report on Yamal’s fitness.
Although there are no concerns over the youngster’s recovery process, it appears the forward has very little scope to play this weekend.

This is largely on account of Barcelona’s cautious approach. The club are aware of Yamal’s age and do not want to take any unnecessary risks.
The Catalans have already learnt their lesson through Frenkie de Jong and do not want to repeat that same mistake.
Therefore, it is unlikely Yamal will be featuring against Celta Vigo unless absolutely necessary.
Fortunately, Flick has no shortage of alternatives when it comes to replacing Yamal in the starting eleven.
Dani Olmo has returned to full fitness and can operate out wide, if necessary. Should Olmo start on the flanks, Pablo Torre can slot into the attacking midfield position.
The German, though, will likely be betting on the services of Fermin Lopez.
With Robert Lewandowski’s fitness also under the scanner, Pau Victor, too, could see some action against Celta Vigo.
