A member of the sidelined contingent at La Liga giants Barcelona could be afforded a return to matchday duties with the club this coming weekend.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Midfielder Casadó, for his part, has been sidelined for the best part of the last two months, owing to a ligament injury in his right knee.
Ensuing reports pointed towards the 21-year-old as potentially being in line to miss the remainder of the season as a result.
Recent days, however, have given rise to hope of a return for Casadó much sooner.
The Spanish international late last week marked his return to training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
And though he was not afforded a call-up to Barca’s squad to face Inter Milan in the Champions League tomorrow night, Casadó could well be in line for as much this coming weekend.
As per Sport:
‘Casadó has the La Liga Clásico (against Real Madrid) at Montjuïc in his sights. There he would be in a position to play some minutes if Flick needs him.’
