After two consecutive defeats in La Liga against Osasuna and Getafe, Real Madrid face a must-win game when they take on Celta Vigo at Balaidos on Friday night.
With FC Barcelona opening up a four-point lead at the top of the table, Alvaro Arbeloa & co. know that there is absolutely no margin for error if they are to stand a chance of making a push for the title.
But injuries are threatening to play spoilsport for Real Madrid, who could be without as many as ten players for the trip to Balaidos.
However, according to Melchor Ruiz of COPE, there is one positive update for Real Madrid as Raul Asencio has resumed training with the group with an eye on the Celta Vigo clash.
The 23-year-old academy defender suffered a neck injury during the game against SL Benfica a week ago, after he hit the ground following a strong collision with his teammate Eduardo Camavinga.

Asencio was stretchered off the pitch with a neck brace, but it was soon confirmed that the issue was not serious. However, it was enough for him to miss the match against Getafe on Monday night.
But in a positive update, Asencio has resumed training with the group and is aiming to return to the field against Celta Vigo later this week.
It comes as a big boost for Real Madrid, who will be without Eder Militao, David Alaba (injury), Dean Huijsen, and Alvaro Carreras (both suspension) for the trip to Vigo, leaving them extremely short-handed in the centre-back position.
Indeed, as things stand, Antonio Rudiger is the only senior centre-back available, but Asencio’s return to training gives Arbeloa hope that the Spaniard could make himself available for the game.
