A concerning update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star David Alaba has on Sunday been forthcoming online.

Stopper Alaba, for his part, has of course been confined to the sidelines since December of last year.

As much comes after the Austrian international became the third member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in the space of mere months to suffer a torn ACL.

Alaba, in turn, went under the knife to repair the problem, with the aim of linking back up with his teammates in Madrid early this season.

The initial hope was that the former Bayern Munich man would be fit and available to feature in a competitive setting by October, last month.

This, however, has since proven to be far from the case.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday is anything to go by, then those of a Real persuasion should not be expecting good news regarding Alaba any time soon, either.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘The return of David Alaba is not expected soon, as it is said that his recovery process is still going very slowly.’
