Fabian Ruiz has been tied down to a new contact at PSG, according to a reliable source, but the club have yet to announce it as a done deal.

When you have a team as good as PSG’s, there’s never the need to do too much to it. The priority is always just keeping the core of the group together, not trying to make splashy signings that turn heads.

So while many fans are hoping for big money spent on a shiny new midfielder to add to their superstar squad, the club would rather just retain the options that have done so well for them in the last few years.

Ruiz new contract done; awaiting announcement

Securing Fabian Ruiz would be a start, and according to the usually exceptionally reliable Twitter ITK Djamel, that’s already a done deal. He says that Ruiz has signed on for another year, with a club option for a second year.

The Spaniard is still at the World Cup with his country, who play France tonight in an interesting matchup for the PSG star. We would imagine that the announcement from the club will wait until the former Real Betis man is back in Europe.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Lucas Digne is on his way to PSG after agreeing terms. The Parisians will pay his release clause.
