The Ligue 1 meeting between OL and Rennes at Groupama Stadium was halted before half-time after an insulting banner in the north stand, a first at Décines. OL were leading in the first half when play was stopped.

According to Le Progres, the banner targeted local rivals Saint-Étienne and had been displayed since before kick-off.

The match delegate and the referee team halted proceedings for 13 minutes shortly before the interval.

Earlier, entry to the ground was disrupted by a malfunction in the ticketing and season-ticket app at the entrances. The outage left hundreds of supporters waiting and frustrated.

The two incidents made the Groupama Stadium stands a talking point once again on a Ligue 1 matchday.
