AC Milan Primavera started the derby day in the best way possible with a 3-1 win against Inter, as Maximilian Ibrahimovic bagged yet another goal. After five games, the Rossoneri now have four wins and one defeat.

It has been a near-perfect start to the season by Federico Guidi’s men and today’s performance against Inter was further proof of this. With four wins in five league games, Milan are in second place one point behind Roma.

Milan opened the scoring in the 18th minute through the centre-back Matteo Dutu, who rose highest at the near post and found the back of the net. Dariusz Stalmach was credited with the assist from the corner flag, and it didn’t take long before the Rossoneri struck again.

Ten minutes later, Maximilian Ibrahimovic picked up a loose ball in the penalty box and fired it past the goalkeeper with his left foot. It’s the Swede’s fourth league goal of the season and he has certainly cemented himself as an important player.

Just before the end of the first half, everything seemed to happen at once. Inter first pulled one back through the striker Mattia Mosconi in the 45th minute, but two minutes later, Milan were awarded a penalty as Vittorio Magni was brought down. Alessandro Bonomi stepped up and made no mistakes, 3-1.

Inter had their chances in the second half, just like Milan, but the game finished 3-1 and the Rossoneri thus started the derby day in the best way. Hopefully, the first team can follow suit tonight.
