Two special days in Irvine, Los Angeles, with two events led by Inter Academy Rockers that involved young footballers and local institutions. The key figure at these events was Giuseppe Baresi, an Inter legend, who was in the United States to meet Academy players and pass on the Club's passion and values.
The programme kicked off on 19 June with a gala night organised with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West (IACCW). During this gala, President Behdad Analui gave a welcome speech to the guests, followed by an evening of networking that brought together several institutional figures from the local area. The following day, at Santa Ana Stadium, more than 100 children took part in a training session led by the Inter Academy staff, with Giuseppe Baresi also joining in on the pitch.
Inter Academy Rockers is a fast-growing project within California's youth football landscape. Launched in 2024, the Academy now has around 220 registered players and, during the week of 22-26 June, hosted a camp at the Great Park Sports Complex. During the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, while Inter were in Los Angeles, several joint initiatives took place: Maicon took part in the final day of the camp, and around 60 young Academy players had the opportunity to attend a first-team training session at UCLA and take part in on-pitch activities and interact with two Nerazzurri players.
The initiatives in Irvine demonstrate the value of the Inter Academy project in supporting youth development through football, further strengthening the connection between the Club and the United States. These were two days of education, sharing, and Nerazzurri passion, which left a lasting impression on the local community and the many young players involved.
