The U-20 World Cup is going and more than any, it is the name of one young man that is on the radars of all in Europe.
It is that of Mexican attacking midfielder Gilberto Mora. Interestingly, the 16 year old has already made his debut for the Mexican senior team, starring in the country’s Gold Cup triumph back in July. In this age group tournament, he has looked well and truly beyond most of his peers. Mora currently plays in Mexico with Club Tijuana, having made his debut almost exactly a year ago. It is no surprise that a lot of European clubs are already sending scouts to his games. His agent Rafaela Pimenta has already quashed rumours of a €15m release clause by suggesting that the amount would only be good for one of his legs. As per calciomercato.com, Inter and Juventus are firmly on the list of teams who are monitoring the youngster who has been likened to Barcelona’s Pedri. They must be wary especially of Real Madrid who are also believed to be monitoring the deal too and are believed to be Mora’s favourite choice as well. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
