Following last summer’s shake-up, Juventus intend to sign more Italian players, something that Inter have been doing for years. The two rivals are set to compete for several talents.

According to TuttoSport (via Calciomercato), the most established and expensive one is Cher Ndour. He’s found a home at Fiorentina after playing all over Europe, at Benfica, Sporting Braga, PSG, and Besiktas at the beginning of his career. The Viola spent €5M to sign him in €2025. His valuation has ballooned to €30M, as he’s recorded 8 goals and 3 assists in 62 appearances with his current team.

Inter and Juventus both approached Samuele Inacio last summer, but Borussia Dortmund were uninterested in selling him. They poached him from Atalanta two years ago. The 18-year-old has starred ten times with the first team, scoring three goals.

The Derby d’Italia foes have also earmarked Luca Lipani, Luca Reggiani, and Filippo Mane. The first one stars for Sassuolo, the team from which the Old Lady’s new CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, comes. Instead, the second one left it in 2024 to head to Borussia Dortmund as well. The last one on the list also transferred there from Sampdoria’s youth academy.

Our Take on Juventus and Inter

The Bianconeri should definitely go back to such a strategy, which was their bread and butter for years before they started to continuously change their hierarchy and coach, as it’ll give them a better foundation and more sense of identity. It’s easier and less pricey to snap up the starlets before they bloom. Both sides are already late in more than a few instances.
