Internazionale has announced this Tuesday the departure of coach Simone Inzaghi, after four seasons at the club.
"The paths of the club and Simone Inzaghi have parted ways," a statemnent from the Nerazzurri said. This decision was made by mutual agreement following the meeting held a few minutes ago.
"...Six trophies: one Scudetto, two Coppa Italia titles, and three Supercoppa Italiana titles are the achievements won over four seasons, which brought the club back to the top of Italian and European football."
Speaking about the decision, the former Lazio and boss said: "It is time for me to say goodbye to this club, after four years where I gave my all. Every day, my first and last thought was for Inter. I was rewarded with professionalism and passion by the players, coaches, and all the club staff."
This season, the coach recorded 37 wins, 13 draws, and nine losses which saw his side finish second behind Napoli in Serie A and then lose 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
Reports have suggested that Inzaghi will now take over at Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
