Inter are monitoring the situations of Atalanta pair of central defenders Rafael Toloi and Jose Palomino as they are considered possible options in order to reinforce the back-line.
FcInter1908 reports that Inter have added the Atalanta skipper within their shortlist of potential defenders as result of the skipper’s contract with La Dea set to expire next summer, allowing the 32 year-old to be sold from Bergamo for a very low fee.
Within last year’s campaign, Toloi has made grand total of 34 appearances across all competition under Gasperini at the helm of the club.
Similarly, the 33 year-old Argentinian defender’s contract also set to conclude at the end of this year’s campaign, making him a cost-efficient option in order to add reinforcements within the defensive department of the squad.
With Palomino having only made 16 appearances within last season’s campaign, it seems likely that the experienced defender would be open for a departure from La Dea as result of the limited playing time he would get due to the exponential rise of Giorgio Scalvini, as well as the recent arrival of Sead Kolasinac.
Whilst talks between Inter and Atalanta regarding the acquisition of the services of Turkish defender Merih Demrial are currently held on stand-by, it remains to be seen who Inter will decide to sign as the sixth central defender within their squad heading into next season.
