Footage online shows Gianni Rava, agent of Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, arriving at Inter’s headquarters on Wednesday for talks over a potential move. The Nerazzurri are exploring a deal for the goalkeeper.
Alfredo Pedullà reports that Lazio will seek a fee of around €4m-€5m, with Provedel entering the final year of his contract in July.
Provedel, 32, has extensive Serie A experience with Lazio, Spezia and Empoli, and is a former winner of the league’s goalkeeper of the year award.
Inter are expected to recruit a goalkeeper this summer, with Yann Sommer, 37, their no.1 for the last three seasons, set to leave when his contract expires later this month.
For much of the 2024-25 season there were reports they would chase a new first-choice, with Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario heavily linked with San Siro. However, recent indications are that Inter will promote Josep Martinez, Sommer’s understudy for the past two seasons, and target Provedel as back-up rather than a costly no.1.
