Inter have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign Udinese defender Oumar Solet, as the battle for the Frenchman’s signature begins to heat up among Serie A’s elite.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Nerazzurri are currently in pole position to land the former Salzburg man. However, the competition remains fierce; both Roma and Juventus are credited with strong interest and are reportedly prepared to launch their own formal offers in the near future. Despite the looming pressure from their rivals, Inter maintain a slight advantage in negotiations as they look to bolster their defensive options for the coming season.
Udinese have set a clear price tag for the 26-year-old, demanding a fee of just under €20m to sanction a sale. To bridge the gap and facilitate a deal, Inter are exploring the possibility of including a player counterpart in the exchange. By offering a technical reinforcement to the Friuliani, the Inter management hopes to lower the cash expenditure and secure the pole position they currently hold over the Giallorossi and the Bianconeri.
