Inter make initial contact for Fiorentina’s Dodo, possible Marco Palestra alternative | OneFootball

Serie A side Inter are set to miss out on Marco Palestra, who is set to join Chelsea. But their hunt for a new wing-back option has now taken them to Fiorentina’s Dodo.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the Nerazzurri are hunting actively for alternative options. As a result, in-depth enquiries have been made for Dodo, whose La Viola contract expires in the summer of 2027 and he can depart the club this summer. He has asked for a move away and Inter want to take advantage.

The Nerazzurri haven’t made a final decision about the player but the Brazilian is a profile worth keeping an eye on for the champions.

Fiorentina value the right-back at €15 million, with Napoli also keen.

Dodo not better than Palestra

While an impotant player for Fiorentina, Dodo wouldn’t be an upgrade on Palestra. He has often been inconsistent for his club, which is something that holds him back.

He could be one of the options but not the most prominent option for Inter, who should keep an eye on the market before making a final decision.
