Serie A side Inter have been pushing for a move for Atalanta’s Marco Palestra and have previously had an offer rejected. But key progress is now being made for a deal.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the player and the Nerazzurri want the deal to happen soon. A financial agreement is yet to be reached between and Atalanta but optimism is filtering that there could be something moving.
There was meeting between the clubs today and this has helped in ironing out the gap. More negotiations are expected in the next few days.
Palestra is keen on the dea and even if he has attracted interested from Chelsea and Manchester City, his mind hasn’t changed at all. La Dea haven’t budged from their €50 million but Inter can come closer to the demand soon.
Considering how he will be a regular Inter and will challenge for trophies, Palestra’s decision makes sense. Chelsea are going through a risky period of instability and Manchester City will have Enzo Maresca as manager. There is little evidence of how things can go there, with the Nerazzurri’s stable identity clearly giving them an advantage.
