Inter Miami surrendered a 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 to Orlando City, leaving them winless in their first four matches at Nu Stadium.

interheron.com points out that few MLS clubs have begun life at a new ground as slowly. Miami have taken just three points from their opening four home games as defending MLS Cup champions in 2026.

The Herons surged 3-0 up inside a little over half an hour through Ian Fray, Telasco Segovia and Lionel Messi. Orlando hit back, Martín Ojeda’s hat-trick preceding Tyrese Spicer’s injury-time winner.

It has been a turbulent year, with head coach Javier Mascherano resigning last month and taking his staff. Guillermo Hoyos is in charge for now, and despite back-to-back away wins in Denver and Salt Lake, that first Nu Stadium victory remains elusive.

Only two sides fared worse than Miami’s three points. FC Dallas needed six attempts to win in Frisco, and FC Cincinnati went nine without a home victory at TQL Stadium before beating Toronto in September 2021, with Miami the inaugural visitors.

Cincinnati’s run came amid Wooden Spoons in each of their first three seasons and just 14 wins in 91. Miami visit Toronto then Cincinnati before hosting Portland on 17 May, and will hope for a first Nu Stadium win.
