Inter Miami is going through a rough patch after losing 2-1 against Nashville SC. The truth behind the Herons' defeat has to do with the squad's soft playing style. Las Garzas has to be more aggressive in the contact and play a little bit rougher than they are.
No team will respect you enough to prevent them from putting the strong feet and gaining the ball, or committing a foul to stop an offensive play. Inter Miami has one more chance to qualify for the next round.
Nevertheless, this week, we discussed many rumours and a few signings to reinforce the team. Pedro Gallese, Orlando City’s goalkeeper, could arrive next season.
Also, Inter Miami has shown interest in Milton Delgado, the young gem from Boca Juniors.
However, according to the blog Bolavip, the Herons are seeking the signing of another Boca Juniors player, this time a center back.
Lautaro Di Lollo is the name on Javier Mascherano’s folder to reinforce the defense for the start of the next season. The Jefecito already shared time with the defender, as they were both on the Under-20s Argentinian national team.
Mashcerano as coach, and Di Lollo as the starting center-back. The Herons' manager knows his qualities and knows he could improve his defense.
In the last couple of matches, and after the horrible performance against the Boy in Gold, Mascherano must sign somebody to replace either Falcon, Perez, or Allen when they have a bad day. The signing of the defender from Boca Juniors will not only add depth to the CB room, but also bring that aggressiveness that is missing.
With a few games as a starter in Boca, Di Lollo has become a reliable player in the defensive phase and a decent option to orchestrate the first plays for the offense. Ahead of the Superclasico, the crucial and historic game against River Plate, Di Lollo is set to be in the starting lineup for Sunday.
However, there are two conditions under which Lautaro Di Lollo’s signing could not be done. The first one is his contract with Boca Juniors. The 21-year-old has recently signed a long-term deal with the institution, meaning he isn’t likely to want to move outside the country in the near future.
The only way Inter Miami could complete his signing is by activating his $15 million release clause. The truth is that the Herons could use a reliable right center back, considering that Falcon is used to being on the left side.
