Inter Miami ‘finalising’ deal to sign Facundo Mura

The Athletic reports that Inter Miami are finalising a deal to sign Racing Club right-back Facundo Mura, days after being crowned 2025 MLS Cup champions.

The move follows end-of-season roster decisions in which the club decided against a permanent deal for Marcelo 'Chelo' Weigandt.

Mura, 26, would join as a free agent, making it a cap-friendly move. A modern full-back, he would bring energy and verticality on the right.

He stands five foot seven yet excels in aerial duels, winning 1.16 per 90, which ranks in the 60th percentile among full-backs in Argentina's top flight.

Mura has been at Racing since 2022 and has been a regular starter. Academy product Ian Fray has signed a new contract, and the proposed move would add depth for the club's busy 2026 calendar.
