Inter Miami have handed Luis Suárez a new contract running through the 2026 MLS season. The club said in a statement that the striker agreed fresh terms after a standout 2025 campaign.

In his second year, Suárez helped deliver the Eastern Conference Championship and the MLS Cup. Inter Miami also reached the Round of 16 at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the Concacaf Champions Cup semi-finals. He played 50 times in 2025, producing 17 goals and 17 assists.

The Salto-born forward arrived ahead of 2024 and was central as Inter Miami won a first Supporters’ Shield. He led the team with 25 goals in all competitions, his 20 in the regular season joint second in MLS alongside Lionel Messi. He added nine regular season assists and a goal and an assist in the playoffs, featuring 37 times including 27 league matches.

Across his Inter Miami career he has 42 goals, the second most in club history, plus 30 assists in 87 appearances.

Before Miami, Suárez won the UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup, along with five LaLiga titles and the Eredivisie. He topped scoring charts in seven competitions, collecting European Golden Shoes in 2013-14 and 2015-16. He also lifted the 2011 Copa América and retired as Uruguay’s record scorer with 69 goals and 161 caps.
