He signed as a Homegrown Player in 2023, becoming the sixth academy product to join the first team.

Ruíz, 22, became the club’s first academy graduate to score for the first team, netting in a 2-1 home win over New England Revolution on 13 May 2023.

He was part of the side that lifted the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 Supporters’ Shield, the first two trophies in the club’s history. The Shield was clinched while setting the MLS single-season points record.
