Inter Miami's preseason tour in Central and South American continued Saturday evening as they nabbed a late win over Colombian side Atlético Nacional.
It was another strong team selection from Javier Mascherano, with all of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Rodrigo De Paul and Dayne St. Clair featuring in the starting lineup.
But it was the hosts who struck first, taking the lead through Juan Rengifo before the half-hour mark.
Miami's stars would not be kept out for long however, as Luis Suárez leveled the score after the break thanks to a rebounded Messi effort.
And while it looked for all the world as if the friendly would fizzle out with the scoreline level, the MLS Cup champions left it late and secured the win thanks to a stoppage-time own-goal.
Next up for the Herons is a showdown with Ecuadorian outfit Barcelona SC.
