Yann Bisseck delivered a massive performance in tonight’s Serie A showdown between Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
Speaking to DAZN via FCInterNews, the German center-back waxed lyrical about the Nerazzurri boss, Cristian Chivu.
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Yann Bisseck.
Indeed, the 24-year-old has tumbled down the pecking order following Manuel Akanji’s arrival from Manchester City.
To put Bisseck’s struggles in context, tonight marked only his second Serie A appearance this season.
Furthermore, the former Aarhus starlet returned to the starting lineup for the first time since late August.
However, unfazed by a lengthy spell on the fringes, Bisseck had a great game.
Despite having had to deal with Moise Kean, the versatile defender stood his ground with composure and strength.
Moreover, he made several crucial interceptions and blocks to prevent the Italian striker from scoring.
Therefore, it’s fair to say that he was Inter’s best defender this evening.

Cristian Chivu made a perfect choice once again.
Indeed, the 45-year-old benched Francesco Acerbi in favor of Bisseck, which proved crucial to keeping Fiorentina at bay.
Bisseck helped Inter register only their third clean sheet across their last 11 home outings in Serie A.
“You know why,” Bisseck started. “He was a player himself, and we all want to score goals. But he’s right, defense is important.
“We played an excellent game, and we’re all happy.
“I always want to play, whether as a third or fifth, even as a goalkeeper,” Bisseck added. “I don’t care.
“And I know we want to play with a higher line, and with my physicality, this role suits me well.”
Finally, he addressed Chivu’s friendly relationship with the squad. However, Bisseck admitted that there are boundaries.
Asked whether Chivu treats him like a teammate, he replied: “No, no, he’s the coach.
“But he’s very kind off the pitch as well, so we can talk about things outside of football.
“He does an excellent job, and if we put into practice what he says, we’ll have a great season.”
