Inter Milan youngster Matteo Cocchi revealed his admiration for Carlos Augusto and Federico Dimarco after a 5-1 rout of Venezia.
Speaking to InterTV via FCInterNews, the 18-year-old called his senior colleagues ‘masters’ of their trade.
Though Cristian Chivu refused to hand Cocchi his first senior start, he brought him in midway through the second half.
Indeed, the teenage wingback replaced Luis Henrique in the 60th minute and showed glimpses of his potential.
In addition to Cocchi, Matteo Spinacce and Leonardo Bovo also joined the fray in the second half.
Despite Venezia’s decent run of form ahead of the match, it was plain sailing for the 20-time Italian champions.
Furthermore, Francesco Pio Esposito and Andy Diouf reached career milestones in this fantastic victory.
While the former netted his first club goal at San Siro, the latter opened his Nerazzurri account in his maiden start in Italian football.
Meanwhile, Chivu left Dimarco on the bench, while Augusto formed part of the back three.

Cocchi was on cloud nine after making his second senior appearance for Inter.
Indeed, the young wingback made his professional debut in last season’s Champions League clash against Feyenoord.
“It was definitely an incredible emotion,” he said after the match. “Tonight was an excellent performance from the team.
“It’s a great feeling for me and my U23 teammates.”
Then, he confirmed that he is looking up to Dimarco and Augusto.
“Here we have two great left-backs, Dimarco and Carlos,” Cocchi added.
“I have the chance to watch them every day and can steal a few secrets from them.
“They let me play, and when there’s something to correct, they tell me directly.”
Finally, he explained his feelings before the game.
“I was able to sleep,” Cocchi added. “The coach didn’t tell me anything to keep me calm.
“I work every day to grow and improve, hoping there will be more moments like tonight.”
