Inter Milan baulk at Liverpool asking price for Jones | OneFootball

Inter Milan could walk away from a deal to sign Curtis Jones from Liverpool due to a gap in the clubs’ respective valuations.

Inter have expressed interest in signing Jones and are prepared to pay €25m (£21.5m) to land the midfielder this summer.

The Italian champions have been public in their pursuit of Jones, who has just 12 months to run on his contract at Anfield.

Jones is understood to be open to exploring a transfer to Serie A, after struggling for a prominent role in the Liverpool side.

The 25-year-old made only 18 league starts last season, with many of those as an emergency right-back due to injuries.

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool want €40m (£34.5m) for Jones, a fee Inter are not willing to match as things stand. The Serie A side have reservations over paying a fee that size for a player who will be available as a free agent in 2027.
