Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta is ready to explore the opportunity to swoop for Napoli forward Giacomo Raspadori by offering midfielder Davide Frattesi in exchange.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are keen to bring in more Italian players and will back coach Simone Inzaghi in the transfer window with players ready to slot into the first team.
Inter are not desperate to move Frattesi on but would be ready to use him to land Raspadori, with the Napoli attacker able to cover every position in the front line and being identified as an impactful addition.
Meanwhile, the impending arrival of Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb would soften the blow of offloading Frattesi, with Marotta deeming his loss worth sanctioning in order to secure Raspadori.
For his part, Frattesi is keen to move on and join boyhood club Roma, but would not turn down the opportunity to join Napoli, with Partenopei coach Antonio Conte keen to bring him in.
Indeed, Roma had sought Frattesi in January but were put off by Inter’s €45 million asking price, and the Nerazzurri feel that this value would be similar to what Napoli would demand for Raspadori.
The Italy international is also viewed as a more realistic option than Como’s Nico Paz and Real Madrid’s Arda Guler.
