Patience, calm and satisfaction: Cristian Chivu felt all three as his decision to trust Ange-Yoan Bonny paid off spectacularly in as Inter won 4-1 against Cremonese.
The Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, described how the Inter coach “turned to the bench, as if to say ‘see, I was right,’ before raising his hands to applaud his ‘angel.’”
The 20-year-old striker, personally wanted by Chivu, justified that faith with a sensational performance in Inter’s 4-1 win over Cremonese.
The Frenchman joined the Romanian coach in moving from Parma to Inter in the summer.
With Marcus Thuram sidelined, Bonny stepped into the starting XI and produced one goal and three assists.

“In a gloomy Saturday, with rain falling diagonally, Bonny bewitched Inter,” wrote La Gazzetta.
Bonny already impressed teammates with his attitude and energy in training.
Furthermore, his debut goal against Torino had hinted at what was to come.
Not since Dani Osvaldo in 2014 had an Inter player been directly involved in four goals on his first Serie A start.
Meanwhile, as the paper noted, Bonny’s breakthrough “means far more than a statistic.”
Even Nicolo Barella underlined his impact post-match, calling the performance “a guarantee” for when Lautaro or Thuram are unavailable.
Chivu’s management, dubbed “Chivucrazia,” has seen 22 different players used effectively already this season.
For Bonny, the night was a personal triumph and, for Chivu, it was proof that Inter’s faith in youth is bearing fruit.
