Inter Milan are reportedly laying the groundwork for a headline-grabbing move in the summer transfer window for Como star Nico Paz.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Oaktree are determined to make a statement signing once the current season concludes.
The American ownership is said to have been planning such a move for months, aiming not only to strengthen the squad but also to create long-term value and raise Inter’s global profile.
Representatives of the ownership group are expected to be in Milan next Tuesday for the Champions League clash with Arsenal, as is customary for major European nights.
Specific targets remain closely guarded.
However, the report suggests a possible avenue could open involving Real Madrid.
Indeed, a club renowned for its overflowing pool of elite young talent.

In that context, attention has once again turned to Nico Paz.
Florentino Perez could activate the buy-back clause believed to be available.
However, questions would then arise over Madrid’s long-term plans for the Argentine prospect.
Corriere dello Sport notes that, for the right price and potentially with another buy-back clause included, Real Madrid could be open to sanctioning a sale.
Alternatively, Paz could be moved on to make room for another highly rated talent within Madrid’s squad.
In the meantime, Inter also face more immediate concerns. Denzel Dumfries’ injury has left a gap on the right flank midway through January.
The priority, according to the report, is a player ready to contribute straight away.
With Joao Cancelo no longer an option, Ivan Perisic has emerged as a possibility.
Although while the Croatian would be intrigued by a return, PSV are reportedly less convinced.
