Inter Milan could reportedly try to insert Sebastiano Esposito in the package for Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson.

The 21-year-old is a youth product of the Nerazzurri who is currently spending the campaign on loan at Sampdoria. He scored six goals and provided as many assists in Serie B this season.

The Blucerchiatti will have the obligation to buy him for 7 million euros if they manage to secure promotion to Serie A.

Andrea Pirlo’s men finished the season in 7th place and will participate in the promotion playoffs.

But according to FcInterNews, Esposito could remain at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium even if Sampdoria fail in their bid to return to the top flight.

This is because Inter could offer him as bargaining chip in their attempts to sign Gudmundsson this summer.

The Iceland international has emerged as one of the best revelations of the Serie A campaign. He led Genoa towards a mid-table finish on their return to Italy’s first tier, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in 33 league appearances thus far.

Inter Milan To Include Sebastiano Esposito In The Offer For Genoa Star Albert Gudmundsson

Gudmundsson has also attracted the interest of several suitors between Italy and abroad. The list includes Juventus, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur.

Genoa are thus hoping to ignite a bidding war while setting their price at no less than 30 million euros. The player’s contract with the Grifone is valid until January 2027.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri would hope to lower the costs by offering Esposito’s card.

On the other hand, Inter are looking to maintain the services of Sebastiano’s younger brother Francesco Pio Esposito.

The 18-year-old is currently on loan at Spezia, and the source expects him to spend another campaign in Serie B.
