Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni has been added to the Italy squad.
Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari has been called up too, with Mattia Zaccagni of Verona the third late selection by Roberto Mancini.
The FIGC announced: “Three news for the national side following the absence of Ogbonna, who will not be in the group due to the injury suffered on Saturday with West Ham, and the injury of Romagnoli last night.
“The national team coach Roberto Mancini has called up three more players in the group that will face Estonia at the Artemio Franchi in Florence on Wednesday.
“Bastoni is arriving this morning from the Under-21 squad in Tirrenia, followed by Mattia Zaccagni. Ferrari will arrive, together with his Sassuolo teammates, at the end of the isolation period."
