This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Davide Frattesi and Federico Dimarco could also drop to the bench.

There were three Inter players in the Italy starting eleven for the Azzurri’s Nations League clash with Belgium last week.

Bastoni, Frattesi, and Dimarco were all in the lineup for the 2-2 draw.

This was hardly a surprise. All three of the trio are regular starters for Italy, and part of what would almost certainly be Azzurri coach Luciano Spalletti’s first-choice starting eleven.

However, the Italy coach is ready to make some changes to the team.

Naturally, Spalletti will aim to use the international break as a chance to give opportunities to some other players in his squad.

Moreover, the Italy coach will hardly want to overuse key players.

Therefore, there will be some squad rotation from Spalletti for tomorrow’s match against Israel.

Alessandro Bastoni To Be Rested For Italy Vs Israel – Frattesi & Dimarco Could Also Drop To Bench

According to the Gazzetta, one notable change that Spalletti is ready to make will be to give Bastoni a rest.

Starting in place of the 25-year-old Inter defender will be Napoli’s Alessandro Buongiorno.

Meanwhile, it is not certain whether Frattesi or Dimarco will start.

In the case of midfielder Frattesi, the Gazzetta report that Spalletti will make one change to the midfield. Either the Inter midfielder or Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali will drop to the bench.

Then on the left flank, Dimarco is the first-choice starter. But there is Tottenham Hotspur wingback Destiny Udogie to give him some competition.

And according to the Gazzetta, it could be former Udinese man Udogie who gets the nod tomorrow evening.
