Marcus Thuram’s change of look has not gone unnoticed, and neither has his growing competition for a starting place at Inter Milan.
As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French forward turned heads at the club’s Christmas dinner by unveiling a new afro hairstyle, replacing his trademark braids.
A fresh image that symbolically accompanies a crucial phase of the season for Cristian Chivu’s side.
“This is how ‘Tikus’ is preparing to experience the final stretch of the year,” the paper notes.

Indeed, one that also includes the Supercoppa Italiana, a competition in which Inter’s No.9 “will certainly want to be a protagonist.”
Before the trip to Saudi Arabia, however, Inter must first navigate a demanding Serie A fixture away to Genoa.
A trip to Marassi is “never simple nor predictable.”
It is in that context that Thuram finds himself locked in an open battle with compatriot Ange-Yoan Bonny for a place alongside Lautaro Martinez.
The Gazzetta underlines how the duel is “wide open.”
Chivu must weigh physical freshness, tactical needs and form as he considers rotating his attacking options.
Meanwhile Thuram’s experience and chemistry with Lautaro remain major assets.
With injuries elsewhere and squad management a growing theme, the decision at the top of Inter’s attack could prove decisive.
Not just for Genoa, but for the run of fixtures to follow.
