Ange-Yoan Bonny says his winner in Roma 0-1 Inter Milan is “the most important goal since I joined Inter”, after deciding the Olimpico clash 1–0 and firing the Nerazzurri to another crucial three points.

The 21-year-old striker was the match-winner in the capital and once again stepped up in the absence of Marcus Thuram, cementing his growing status under Cristian Chivu.

Speaking to RAI Sport, with quotes via FCInterNews, Bonny expressed his satisfaction with both the goal and the result.

“We are happy for this goal and for these three points,” he said.

When asked about Inter’s defensive resilience after taking the lead, he added: “Sometimes you have to suffer, but we have great men as well as great players. We showed the right spirit.”

The Frenchman also made clear what drives him on a personal level.

“My objective is to help the team, always. To learn from my teammates and to win.”

And on whether Inter are aiming to reclaim the Scudetto, Bonny was unequivocal.

“We are Inter. Our goal every year is to win every competition.”

The forward joked when asked if Chivu is a father-figure in his career. “A father? I don’t know… he’s not that old – maybe an uncle,” Bonny laughed.

But the respect is evident, as he explained: “He transmits great grit to his players. His experience as a former player helps a lot.”

Bonny also commented on his own development and adaptability up front.

“As a second striker I feel good. With time I’ll learn to play as a number nine. But alongside Marcus Thuram, Lautaro Martinez or Pio Esposito, I feel great.”

With momentum building and another decisive contribution behind him, Bonny now hopes continuity will fuel his growth.

“Nothing is easy, but it’s beautiful. I hope to keep this consistency,” he concluded.

Inter move forward with another vital win and with a rapidly rising star leading the line with confidence.
