Inter Milan are keen on reuniting with PSV Eindhoven winger Ivan Perisic in the winter transfer window (h/t Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano).
However, the Croatian’s arrival will depend on Luis Henrique’s future at the San Siro.
The Brazilian winger has received a significant proposal from Bournemouth. While the Nerazzurri are happy with the offer, they want to sort out his replacement before sanctioning his departure.
Perisic has emerged as a priority target for Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio, but a deal hinges on PSV’s Champions League prospects.
If the Dutch giants fail to qualify for the knockout stage, the 36-year-old will push for a return to Inter. PSV will tighten their stance on Perisic if they progress in the Champions League.
Perisic was linked with an exit last summer, with Barcelona showing strong interest, but he stayed in the Eredivisie.
He continues to be a pivotal figure, bagging five goals and ten assists in all competitions.
Denzel Dumfries’ ankle injury has proven to be a big blow for the Italian giants, although he is in line to make his return in early March.
Henrique has been deployed as a make-shift right wing-back, and Perisic’s addition would add more depth for Inter.
Inter are also monitoring Al-Ahli midfielder Franck Kessie ahead of a potential move next summer.
The Nerazzurri are planning to meet the former AC Milan star’s entourage to discuss a free transfer in the summer, although they face tough competition from Juventus.
The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season. He appears to have no interest in accepting a lucrative renewal offer and is willing to return to Serie A.
With Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the twilight of his career and his contract expiring at the end of the season, Kessie would be a brilliant addition for the Nerazzuri.
The Ivorian has been a key cog for Al-Ahli since joining them in 2023, playing a pivotal role in the AFC Champions League Elite title and the Saudi Super Cup success last year.
