As the November international break halts club football, Inter Milan can look back on an excellent start to the 2025/26 Serie A campaign under new head coach Cristian Chivu.

Sitting top of Serie A and at the summit of the Champions League League Phase group, Cristian Chivu’s side are proving both consistent and dominant.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri not only boast the best attack in Serie A, but also rank first for successful crosses: two key metrics that underline the team’s balance between creativity and precision.

The tactical identity built under Chivu is clear: an aggressive, front-footed side that attacks from wide.

It relies on the technical quality of Federico Dimarco, Denzel Dumfries, and Hakan Calhanoglu to unlock defences.

Dimarco’s delivery has been particularly decisive, combining with the finishing of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and rising star Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Meanwhile, Calhanoglu’s control in midfield continues to dictate the tempo, ensuring Inter maintain their vertical rhythm while limiting exposure in transition.

The numbers tell a story of dominance: Inter have scored more goals than any other side in the league, and their variety in attacking patterns makes them one of Europe’s most complete teams.

However, Gazzetta cautions that maintaining this level will require focus: lapses against Verona and Kairat showed how small dips in intensity can affect even a side as confident as Chivu’s.
