Legendary former Inter Milan striker Adriano says that “no one in football cares” about him anymore.
The Brazilian spoke to the Boteco do Chula podcast, via FCInter1908. He said that only one other player still calls him.
The Brazilian made 163 appearances for the Nerazzurri across all competitions. He scored 73 goals for the club.
There is a widespread belief that Adriano never quite lived up to his potential on a long-term basis.
The Brazilian has always acknowledged that the tragic passing of his father in particular had an effect of distracting him and causing him to lose his form and motivation.
But even so, Adriano more than had his shore of memorable moments at Inter.
At his best, the Brazilian was arguably the most devastating striker in all of Serie A.
Former striker Adriano played a big role in Inter’s sequence of Serie A titles in the mid- to late-2000s.

Adriano spoke about his experiences since hanging up his boots.
“There’s no price to being with the people that you love,” he said.
“I’m not one to give interviews,” he continued. “But today I insisted, I came here with pleasure.”
“No one cares about me anymore,” claimed the former Inter striker.
Adriano mused that “the only player who still calls to see how I’m doing is Aloisio Chulapa.”
“Few people care about others,” he lamented. “Do you know the only player who cried for me as a human being was? It was Aloisio.”
“It’s something you can’t explain,” Adriano said. “The good things stay with us.”
