Luis Henrique says that he is “feeling better every day” at Inter Milan, and that he is “ready to play” for the Nerazzurri.
The Brazilian gave his thoughts to reporters at the Club World Cup, via FCInterNews.
Luis Henrique completed his move to inter Milan from Marseille earlier this month.
The Nerazzurri had reportedly been chasing the 23-year-old for quite a few weeks. Reports of talks with Marseille for his signature already emerged all the way back in March.
Reportedly, Inter identified Henrique as an ideal player to back up (and compete for a spot with) Denzel Dumfries on the right flank.
There have certainly already been flashes of that in the Brazilian’s first few weeks at Inter.
Henrique came off the bench against Monterrey in Inter’s group stage opener at the Club World Cup.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old also started in the Nerazzurri’s second group stage match against Urawa Red Diamonds.
However, the feeling is certainly that there are better things to come from Luis Henrique at Inter.
Luis Henrique commented that “everything is going well” as he continues to find his feet at Inter.
“I’m happy,” continued the Brazilian. “I’ve achieved my dream of playing for such a big club.”
“I hope that I do very well in these colours,” added Henrique.
Meanwhile, Henrique also gave his thoughts on today’s Club World Cup round of sixteen clash with Fluminense. Watch Inter Milan vs Fluminense for FREE with DAZN on any device!
“I know it’s a very important moment,” Henrique said. “We’re facing Fluminese, a strong team with quality.”
“To win, we need focus. It will be a great match.”
Meanwhile, Henrique identified one Inter player in particular who’s helped him settle in. “Carlos Augusto, definitely,” he said.
“It’s normal for us to have a good relationship as Brazilians.”
“But everyone has welcomed me in a great way. They speak to me a lot, and give me a lot of advice.”
“Chivu is helping me,” added Augusto.
“He tells me to keep working. To give my all. He helps me a lot.”
Meanwhile, of his physical condition, Henrique noted that “after my last match for Marseille I took a vacation.”
“So I was a bit behind my teammates,” the 23-year-old admitted. “But in the last few training sessions I’ve been feeling better and better.”
