Inter Milan are pushing to wrap up a deal for João Cancelo as talks with Al-Hilal move into a decisive phase, with the club eager to secure clarity within the next few days.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri believe the Cancelo opportunity is one to be seized, and patience is now limited.
From Viale della Liberazione, Inter have made their position clear. The Portuguese defender must provide a definitive answer by next week. There is no intention to prolong negotiations beyond that point.
“The only remaining issue is the player’s decision,” the newspaper explains, noting that Cancelo has also been offered to Juventus, Benfica and above all Barcelona.

Cancelo would welcome a return to Catalonia, but so far there has been no concrete response from the Blaugrana.
In the meantime, Inter’s dialogue with Al-Hilal has already produced an agreement in principle.
The Saudi side have accepted a loan move until the end of the season in order to free up a foreign-player slot. A dry loan suits Inter, who plan to pursue Marco Palestra in the summer.
Al-Hilal are also prepared to cover a large share of Cancelo’s remaining wages.
These are estimated at around €9 million for the second half of the season. That concession underpins Inter’s optimism.
There could be further movement on the Milan–Riyadh axis.
Corriere dello Sport adds that Al-Hilal have shown interest in Francesco Acerbi, with Stefan de Vrij a secondary option. Inter have not ruled out such a scenario, which could help “close the circle” on the Cancelo deal.
Now the clock is ticking. Inter want an answer, and soon.
