There’s everything to play for at San Siro following a dramatic 1-1 draw in the first leg a fortnight ago.

Furthermore, the stakes are high for both teams.

Securing Coppa Italia glory for the third time in four seasons is part of Inter’s treble quest.

Meanwhile, this is Milan’s best chance of locking down a European berth for next season after a 1-0 loss to Atalanta.

Indeed, Sergio Conceicao’s men trail sixth-placed Lazio by eight points and can hardly recover that ground in the last five rounds.

As such, Simone Inzaghi and his lads cannot underestimate the task ahead, especially given the recent history of this fixture.

Despite Milan’s dismal campaign, they’ve avoided defeat in all four meetings with Inter this season.

However, Josep Martinez insists his teammates ‘live for these matches.’

Asked how significant this fixture is for the Nerazzurri, he replied: “It matters a lot.

“We’re one step away from the final and we want to get there.

“It’s a huge match, and we’ve been working for months with this kind of goal in mind.

“All of us players work hard for these kinds of opportunities.

“I’m happy to have reached the semi-final, and like all my teammates.

“I want to get to the final and I’ll do everything I can tonight to make it happen.”

Meanwhile, in a separate interview with Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, Martinez admitted Inter ‘always want to win.’

Firstly, he confirmed the Nerazzurri have mentally recovered from Sunday’s loss at Bologna.

“Absolutely,” he stated. “Sunday’s match was very tough, but we have to focus on today’s game.

“We’re fully focused and thinking only about this. We’ve been working for months toward this goal.

“It’ll be tough, but we’re mentally prepared.

“We’re Inter, and we always want to win.”

Finally, he opened up on his first-team opportunities at San Siro.

“I work every day to earn opportunities like tonight.
