Inter Milan Strike-Force Revolution As Numbers Prove Current Crop Far Superior To Last Season’s Attack

Inter Milan’s attack has transformed into one of the most dangerous units in Serie A, with numbers that leave both last season’s figures and this year’s competition far behind as Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram lead by example.

As Tuttosport highlights, by early December the quartet of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny have already combined for 25 goals in all competitions.

It is a remarkable return and a significant jump compared to the same stage last year.

Twelve months ago, the Thu-La partnership accounted for just 10 goals by this point, while the reserve trio of Taremi, Arnautovic and Correa produced only one each.

The contrast is stark: this season’s depth, variety and efficiency in the final third have given Cristian Chivu an attacking platform that simply wasn’t there a year ago.

The comparison across the rest of Serie A is equally telling.

The closest challengers are Bologna, whose forward options have collected 20 goals between them, eight from Riccardo Orsolini, five from Castro, four from Odgaard and three from Dallinga.

Beyond that, no other frontline from Napoli, Milan, Roma, Como, Juventus or the rest surpasses 16 goals.

Inter’s evolution in attack reflects not just individual form but a broader structural improvement.

Lautaro remains lethal, Thuram continues to stretch defences, while Bonny and Pio Esposito have added youthful energy and decisive contributions.

Chivu’s system has amplified every weapon available to him.

If the current trajectory continues, Inter’s strike-force could finish the season with numbers unmatched anywhere in the league, a dramatic shift from the inconsistencies of the previous campaign.
