Inter Milan are looking to accelerate player sales to generate funds to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson (h/t La Gazzetta dello Sport).
The Brazilian defensive midfielder has been earmarked as the replacement for Hakan Calhangolu, who is increasingly moving closer towards an exit.
Ederson is also on the radar of Manchester United and Juventus, but Inter are keen on adding him to their ranks.
The Nerazzurri are willing to back new manager Christian Chivu with a €100 million budget in this transfer window, but they have already spent a large chunk of it on new signings.
The arrivals of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Ange Yoan-Bonny and Nicola Zalewski’s permanent transfer have cost around €70m.
Inter are now planning to offload more players to launch a move for Ederson, who is rated at around €60m.
The negotiations will be difficult with La Dea, who will not move from their valuation.
The Nerazzurri are looking to secure around €30m from Calhanoglu’s exit, with Galatasaray keen on luring him to his homeland.
The 31-year-old has given the green light to the move, but a deal needs to be reached between the two clubs.
Denzel Dumfries is also another candidate to leave Inter this summer. His cut-price release clause worth €25m has caught the attention of Barcelona and Manchester City.
The specified clause is understood to be valid until the middle of July.
Inter are also pushing to cash in on German defender Yann Aurel Bisseck, but they haven’t received any concrete offers.
Real Betis have submitted a proposal for Inter’s out-of-favour midfielder Kristjan Aslani, but he rejected it.
Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios has caught Inter’s attention after his brilliant performances at the Club World Cup. The Colombian international is available for €30m.
