Inter Milan are tracking Lazio defender Mario Gila as a potential summer signing.

This according to Italian football reported Nicolo Schira. He notes in a tweet that the Nerazzurri’s positive relationship with Gila’s agent Alejandro Camano could play in their favour.

One thing that looks abundantly clear is that Inter Milan will sign a defender this summer.

The Nerazzurri’s backline is not getting any younger. Therefore, there is a need to add some new bloon in at the back.

The likes of Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi turn 34 and 38 next season.

Therefore, Inter’s aim is to sign a younger player who can be an eventual heir to the veteran duo.

But another name to have impressed Inter is Lazio defender Mario Gila.

Gila joined the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2022. And this season in particular the Spaniard has been one of the most impressive defenders in Serie A.

And Italian journalist Nicolo Schira not only notes that Inter are interested in Gila’s signature.

The Nerazzurri could have a potential ace in the hole in their pursuit of the 24-year-old.

Alejandro Camano is Mario Gila’s agent. Camano is also the agent of Inter captain Lautaro Martinez.

Therefore, he has a regular rapport with the Nerazzurri already, having negotiated several major contract extensions for Martinez.

Meanwhile, Camano also represented wingback Achraf Hakimi during the Moroccan’s massive money move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
