Inter Milan wingback Federico Dimarco heaped praise on Bodo/Glimt ahead of Tuesday’s pivotal clash at San Siro.
Bodo/Glimt got the better of Inter in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout playoff tie.
Indeed, the Norwegian champions took advantage of the synthetic pitch at the Aspmyra Stadion to secure a 3-1 win last week.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri must rewrite the club’s history books to avoid missing the Round of 16 for the first time since 2020/21.
However, it’s worth noting that the San Siro giants have never won a knockout match at Europe’s top table by 3+ goals.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu will be without star striker Lautaro Martinez, who suffered a calf injury in the first leg.
Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco is likely to return to the starting lineup after staying on the bench in Bodo.

“Obviously, it will be a very attacking game,” Dimarco said. “We’re two goals down, so we’ll have to be careful of their counterattacks, which have been costly for us in some matches.
“We have to focus on scoring; the first thought is to overturn the deficit as quickly as possible.”
Then, he underlined the importance of progressing into the next round.
“We have to try, we are Inter, we have the duty to give it our all,” he added. “At home, it will take an Inter-level performance, like the one we’ve shown over the years.
“The World Cup? We are Italy.”
Furthermore, Dimarco highlighted his close relationship with Chivu.
“It’s great, he gives me lots of advice, just like Kolarov did.”
Asked where he would put Bodo/Glimt in Serie A, he replied: “A solid Italian team. They have good qualities; you don’t beat City and Atletico by chance.
“I don’t follow the Norwegian league, but judging by Bodo’s results, I think the level has improved.”
Finally, he hailed Francesco Pio Esposito.
“It’s hard to get annoyed with him; he’s as good as gold. He works really well, doesn’t give up, and everything he’s achieving is well deserved.”
