Inter Milan will reportedly face Como in a high-stakes Coppa Italia semi-final return leg without star center-back Alessandro Bastoni.

According to Corriere della Sera via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old will not be at Cristian Chivu’s disposal tomorrow night.

Fresh off a 3-0 battering of Cagliari in Serie A, Inter will resume their pursuit of a first domestic double since 2010 on Tuesday.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri are already one step away from winning their 21st Scudetto, boasting a huge 12-point lead over Napoli and AC Milan.

Meanwhile, they could secure their first appearance in the Coppa Italia for the first time since 2023.

After a scoreless first-leg draw on the road, Cristian Chivu’s side will host Como at San Siro in a decisive return fixture.

Despite the magnitude of the occasion, Cristian Chivu won’t rush Bastoni’s return from injury.

Indeed, the Italian defender has recently struggled with a minor leg injury, forcing the Inter boss to leave him out of the squad last Friday.

With Bastoni facing at least one more week on the sidelines, Chivu is likely to turn to Carlos Augusto to replace his starting center-back.

In addition to Bastoni, Inter will be without star striker Lautaro Martinez, who’s still recovering from a muscle injury.
