Ange-Yoan Bonny is relishing his opportunity to start for Inter Milan against Genoa tonight, with the French forward delivering a focused and determined message ahead of what promises to be a demanding Serie A showdown at San Siro.

The young forward has had to be patient this season, often watching from the bench as Pio Esposito and Marcus Thuram have shared the striking duties.

Tonight, however, Bonny gets his chance from the first minute, and speaking to Inter TV ahead of kick-off, he made clear he intends to take it.

On the challenge posed by a Genoa side fighting for survival, Bonny was respectful.

“It is never easy to face teams like this who give everything because they need to stay up,” he said, with quotes via FCInterNews.

“But we also have objectives, we also need to win, and tonight we will give everything to get the points.”

Asked about the rare opportunity to lead the line from the start, Bonny kept his response grounded and team-focused.

“I am happy to start today,” he said, “but those who come on later also know they must help the team and give everything. I think that is always the most important thing. Today we need to have the right attitude, I believe that is the key.”
